Our team at Touch of Life Chiropractic & Wellness Center believes in a diversified approach to health and healing.
If you’ve been experiencing pain, we want to get to the root cause of the problem. It’s why we’ve developed a three-tiered approach toward healing.
Our Three-Step Method Toward Healing
Once we’ve diagnosed what’s causing your pain, we apply the following method to help ease the pain and ensure that you’re on the path to true health and wellness.
The first step we take is to help you get out of pain or effectively manage it if you’ve been diagnosed with a chronic condition.
- We combine a combination of treatments including:
- Chiropractic manipulations for optimal spinal alignment
- Soft tissue massage therapy
- Physical therapy.
Next, we give you the tools you need to correct the underlying cause of your pain. We start by teaching you a series of exercises, which include spinal mobilization correction. You’ll learn how to perform these exercises in our clinic. Then, you can put them into practice in the comfort of your own home. Our unique exercises will:
- Provide you with improved stabilization
- Strengthen your body
- Stretch your muscles for better flexibility and less pain.
Finally, we will provide you with a maintenance program.
Daily activities can lead to spinal misalignment – this is natural. Our maintenance program will help you get back into alignment faster, thereby reducing the likelihood that you end up with chronic, painful conditions.
Our program consists of regular chiropractic adjustments, as well as the exercises, therapy and treatments that work best for your unique needs.
Because the majority of whiplash incidents impact the spine and the surrounding nerves and tissues, chiropractic care is an excellent avenue for treatment.
Dr. Simmons is skilled in assessing the source of the pain associated with a whiplash injury and determining a plan for effective treatment.
Chiropractic treatments are gentle and non-invasive. Through small adjustments, people find great relief from the pain associated with whiplash and are set on a road to full recovery. Call our team at Touch of Life Chiropractic & Wellness Center in Columbus, OH to discover how chiropractic care can help you recover from whiplash.
Whiplash injuries can range from mild to very severe. Injuries tend to be more significant when your headrest is positioned too low. If the impact was quite severe or the headrest was low there is the possibility that bones are broken or tissue is damaged. It is highly recommended that you see a chiropractor and receive a thorough examination and x-rays.
- Neck pain
- Shoulder, upper back, and arm pain
- Blurred vision
- Pain when turning the head
- Inability to move or turn the head fully
- Numbness or tingling in the arms, hands, and fingers
- Ringing in the ears
- Difficulty sleeping
As you can see there are a wide range of symptoms and not all of them may be immediately traceable to whiplash. Even if you have been cleared by a doctor, your pain could still be related to whiplash and you may need treatment to correct the problem. If you have recently been injured it's important to get your spine checked as soon as possible. The sooner that you start treating the issue the less chance you have of it developing into a long-term problem.
